- Protein detection test for cleaning verification
- Semi-quantitative instant results
- Short swab for instruments
- Long swab for endoscopes and cannulated instruments
Description
ProExpose™ Protein Detection Test positive result confirms that the collected sample contains proteins, either as a result of contamination or poor cleaning. It does this by chemical reaction between proteins and the test reagent, leading to a color change.
Utilizing sterile water, swab a difficult-to-clean portion of a surface. Place the swab into the test tube containing the reagent solution. If protein is present, the solution will turn from brown to blue. ProExpose reagent analytical performance is semi-quantitative. The more protein present in the sample, the darker the blue color change will be. If the test is positive, proteins are present. Darkness of blue color correlates to the amount of collected protein over the specific area swabbed; the size and texture of the swabbed area may influence results.
ProExpose reagent detects proteins with a sensitivity of 1μg, ensuring detection of small amounts of protein residues.
Conform to relevant standards for cleaning verification tests, ISO 15883, HTM2030

- ProExpose™ PROTEIN DETECTION TEST Short Swabs: 7.5cm length
- Rapidly detect the presence of proteins on metal, plastic, glass, and other potentially contaminated or not properly cleaned surfaces. This detection occurs through a reagent color change.
- ProExpose™ & ProExpose™ 30 LONG LUMEN PROTEIN DETECTION TEST and KIT Long Swabs: 2.5-meter handle, 1.9mm, 2.8 mm, and 3.7mm tip diameter | Short Swab: 7.5cm length
- This is a rapid test designed to detect residual proteins left behind inside channels and tubes due to insufficient cleaning. This detection occurs through a reagent color change.
- ProExpose™ PROTEIN DETECTION TEST Short Swabs: 7.5cm length
ProExpose™ Protein Detection Test may also be of use to reduce the risk of food safety incidents by testing potentially contaminated surfaces for residual proteins.
