Applications and Use:

The Once-A-Day® Ecos™ test pack is specifically engineered for daily mechanical air removal testing in pre-vacuum sterilizers. It’s important to verify the sterilizer function at the beginning of each day or following any maintenance. It effectively detects issues such as low temperature and pressure conditions, wet steam, or superheated steam.

To use, simply place the pack on the bottom rack inside the sterilizer chamber. Run a standard pre-vacuum sterilization cycle at 273.2°F/134°C with a 3.5-minute exposure time. After the cycle, remove the pack and examine the test sheet. A successful sterilization will show a uniform black color change across the entire sheet. Any incomplete or uneven color change, such as white spots, indicates a sterilizer malfunction, requiring immediate attention.
