High-intensity halogen bulbs provide you with a whiter, brighter, light. A yellow tinge to the light alerts you to the need to insert fresh batteries.
Brilliant Design:
We put the bulb in the handle, not the blade! And that helps with patient comfort because the blade does not heat up like other unites where the bulb is in the blade. What's more, there are no wires to repair because there is no electrical conductivity between the blade and handle. Blades simply snap into place activating Propper's patented switching mechanism - a mechanism which insures reliable long term performance due to its positive contact design.
Propper Laryngoscopes are easy to clean, because the fiber optic bundle is a permanent part of the stainless steel blade. There is no need to take the blade apart for cleaning like many other blades. And, as a leader in the sterilization field, both the blade and outer compartment of the Propper handle are manufactured to be sterilized with either STERRAD® or STERIS® sterilization systems. All Propper Laryngoscopes can be sterilized with any approved EO gas sterilization cycle as well.
